This is basically writing with my Neon Strings. Maybe I’ll combine that with some song lyrics someday - just couldn’t find any inspiring music that could do the job. Any suggestions? Anyways, here goes: Typo Splines with random lyrics.

how do you write the letters? do you use a special font and render it in your neon engine? looks cool

thanks! i wrote a little font-creator/-editor in AIR that uses flash’s drawing api and saves the coordinates of all letters in a csv. that csv is read by the typo-splines swf and combined to a single spline for each word.

pretty freakin awesome…! lyriclastige songvorschläge: wie wär’s mit baz luhrman’s “everybody’s free”? oder “hey there delilah”… oder doch lieber was von dr. dre? :) obwohl… haven’t you heard that BIRD IS THE WORD!? yehaw.

he there. you wrote your own font-creator? so all the letters are handwritten? they seem to be different everytime. so that’s a good thing. cheers to the eastcoast! tp

hey! it’s not really a font creator. i made a little drawing tool that saves the line paths to a csv. so in the end i just had all the letters from a-z in the background and painted over them. greetings back to san francisco from ny!
